Natural Grocers Offers Nationwide Delivery via DoorDash

Natural Grocers delivery expands nationwide as the chain teams up with DoorDash, offering on‑demand grocery service from all 174 stores across 22 states.

How the partnership works

Customers open the DoorDash app, browse thousands of items and choose either immediate or scheduled delivery. A Dasher picks the items from the nearest store and drops them at the address entered. Prices remain the same as in‑store “Always Affordable” rates.

The retailer’s free {N}power rewards program is built into the checkout flow. Shoppers who type the phone number linked to their account see the same discount levels they receive in physical locations. No new account is needed to place an order.

Nearly every product line found on the shelves appears online, from fresh produce and dairy to frozen foods, supplements and body‑care goods. The selection includes the chain’s 100 percent USDA‑certified organic produce and responsibly sourced meats, seafood and free‑range eggs.

What the move means for shoppers

For people who rely on organic options but lack easy transport, the service adds a practical route to maintain their diet. It also aligns with the retailer’s long‑standing goal of keeping high‑quality foods affordable, a promise it’s upheld for more than 70 years.

Company background and financial context

Founded in 1955, the family‑operated chain sells only USDA‑certified organic produce, pasture‑raised dairy and free‑range eggs. Its standards bar artificial flavors, preservatives, synthetic colors and hydrogenated oils. The smaller‑store format helps keep prices low, and the firm runs free nutrition‑education programs for shoppers.

In fiscal year 2025, the company reported investing more than $16 million in incremental compensation and discretionary payments for its crew. That figure reflects a broader effort to reward employees while expanding service options.

Customer experience and limitations

The partnership covers fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, seafood, dairy, frozen foods, vitamins, protein powders, personal care items and cleaning products.

Overall, the collaboration adds a new channel for the retailer to reach health‑focused shoppers, while keeping price points and product standards consistent with its brick‑and‑mortar locations.
