New hues for Cole & Mason’s Kenton Mill range

Cole & Mason has expanded its Kenton Mill Collection with three new colors for its salt and pepper grinders, combining practical use with kitchen aesthetics.

The additions—Himalayan Salt, Cinnamon, and Persian Blue Salt—extend the existing line, which was created to add character to dining tables and countertops. Each shade reflects natural seasonings: the pale pink of Himalayan salt, the warm brown of cinnamon, and the deep blue of Persian blue salt.

New colors designed for mixing and matching

The collection was developed with the idea that seasoning tools shouldn’t be purely functional. The original Kenton mills featured a palette of soft and strong tones, all named after herbs and spices, and the new options continue that approach—providing what the brand describes as “expressive yet thoughtful” choices for home cooks and design-conscious buyers.

Himalayan Salt offers a gentle, neutral-leaning pink that suits clean, modern kitchens. Cinnamon, a deep brown, brings warmth and complements both subtle and bold decor. Persian Blue Salt, the boldest of the three, is ideal for those who want a striking centerpiece on their table or shelf.

The colors are meant to work together, allowing buyers to pair grinders in different combinations. The mills also include two interchangeable knobs—one for salt, one for pepper—so users can assign each spice to their preferred color.

The mills use Cole & Mason’s ceramic grinding mechanism, which the brand claims remains sharp and resists corrosion. A lifetime guarantee backs the mechanism, a feature that may appeal to serious cooks.

For many, the look of a kitchen matters nearly as much as its functionality. A set of matching grinders in a favorite color can feel like a small but meaningful improvement, making the daily task of seasoning food feel more deliberate. The new shades provide more ways to personalize that choice.

Long history behind a simple product

Cole & Mason has produced seasoning tools since 1919. The company began in London and has since established itself for blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design. Over the decades, it has grown beyond basic grinders to include a variety of kitchen tools, though salt and pepper mills remain central to its offerings.

The Kenton Mill Collection represents the brand’s effort to attract consumers who view kitchenware as part of their home decor. The original line introduced a range of soft and strong colors, all linked to culinary themes. The latest additions follow the same approach, using spice names to create a connection between the product and the food it seasons.

Heidi Thomas, head of marketing at DK Household Brands, which owns the brand, said the new colors were intended to give customers more ways to reflect their personal style. “These new shades build on that story with colors that feel both bold and carefully chosen,” she said. “Himalayan Salt, Cinnamon, and Persian Blue Salt each bring something unique to the range, offering more freedom to mix, match, and make a kitchen feel like their own.”

The mills are now available on Cole & Mason’s website and through select retailers.

Retailers have noted that sales often rise when seasonal promotions coincide with warmer weather, a trend that could benefit new product launches like this one.
